I have seen a lot of great movies with various actors, but none stand out in talent and true self like Jim Caviezel does. He's such a wonderful actor, who says that he does this kind of work just for the love of the job, not for money or fame. Talk about a truly honest person!

I have to agree with you Mel. He is one of the greatest actors of the 21st century...he will definately leave a legacy of one of the greatest. The Passion really cemented this as a fact!
Although Hollywood may not recognise his talent, we all certainly do!!!

His talent seems to be ignored by mainstream Hollywood, but if he keeps making these emotionally charged roles in Independent Films, I doubt Hollywood can keep dismissing him.

I agree...I cant believe how such an amazing, talented, goodlooking actor can be ignored and snubbed for so long, but I do feel its his spirituality thats mostly the cause for contention.
Even without words, just his walk of life must be the cause he is dismissed by Hollywood. But I do hope and pray besides the Passion, that he will yet have a film which cannot be dismissed by anyone...but either way, we know how much we love his work!
Blessings,

One thing about the Indie film industry, is that it is more interested in raw talent than big blockbusters. More indie films are nominated for Oscars and other awards, where they showcase the actors' talents. It's such a shame that the indie films don't get more wide release at the theaters, but at least they all come out on DVD.

Mel, I do hope the pattern of larger release films continues. At least here in Canada, I was able to see Deja-Vu following 'The Passion'. Sadly nothing else was released here except to dvd.
As far as I understand, Outlander will be large release...and Im very excited about it!
Lets hope and pray Jim continues to get some good roles pouring in!

I cant believe my above statement!!! Can you believe that Outlander will not even find a release in Ontario or Canada whatsoever except to dvd!!!
Thats a real shame given that it was filmed in Newfoundland and Nova Scotia!!!
I have heard dvd release is May 19th...so I will definately be heading out to get a copy then!
